Attorney Flagg maintains a private practice as a solo practitioner focusing on real estate matters and election law.  She is an arbitrator for the Mandatory Arbitration Program of the Circuit Court of Cook County.  Attorney Flagg asks for your support as she runs for judge in the First Judicial Subcircuit of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

Community Service

 
Michelle is a volunteer in the Attorney of the Day program with the Lawyer's Committee for Better Housing, representing low and moderate income tenants facing eviction.  In addition to her volunteer legal work she is active in community affiars, particularly in the areas of economic development and legislative advocacy.  As a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, she participates in legislative advocacy efforts on both the state and federal level.  These activities include advocating for voting rights for all citizens and equality in educational funding.    
 
Educational Background

Michelle is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law where she was a member of the Elder Law Journal, serving as the Writing Competition Coordinator.  She was a member of the Black Law Student Association Executive Board, and the Student Technology Group.  While in law school, Michelle received numerous scholarships and awards, including the Rickert Award for Excellence in Legal Publications, the Illinois General Assembly Scholarship and the Just the Beginning Foundation Scholarship
